Subject: [*] AutoShare 4.0, a freeware list server

[Anti-virus tested. Info-Mac CDROM okay. comm/inet/mail dir.
The 4.0 archive replaces ALL previous archives. Thanks.]

AutoShare is a robust and speedy list server and auto-responder for
the Macintosh with EIMS or SIMS. Available for both 68K and Power
Macs, requiring little memory and tested with Mac OS 8.6, AutoShare
can handle hundreds of mailing lists and thousands of subscribers for
each list. Full scriptability is supported, and an Admin application
with balloon help makes it easy to configure the richly featured
server application.

Version 4.0 introduces the built-in CGI request handling of
subscriber administration to be used with Macintosh web server
software, a number of new utility AppleScript commands, support for
the Rebound software plus minor improvements and bug fixes.

Subject: [*] EasySwitcher

If you are tired of always moving the mouse to the upper right of the screen
to change between open files, or to hide open applications, EasySwitcher can
help. EasySwitcher allows for Macintosh users to have the one good feature
of Windows users (plus a few things you can't do on a Windows machine). By
pressing Control-Tab you will get a Dialog that shows all your applications
that are running (Icons). You can toggle through your applications to bring
that application to the front.

Easy Switcher doesn't stop there!

* EasySwitcher is NOT an Extension. Thus, it can be started and stopped
like an
application at anytime (without having to restart your machine).

* EasySwitcher 'Watches' what applications you are using, and keeps them
only a few key
strokes away. So that Switching between 2 applications is quick and
easy.

* EasySwitcher even has a hot key to Hide the front application. This helps
keep your
   desktop clean from cluttered windows.

 System Requirements:
* System 7.1 or Later.

Thanks,
Michael

Subject: [*] Hotfind 1.2.2

Requirements:
Hotline Client or Hotlyin client
OS 7.5 and above

HotFind is a server and file search utility for Hotline and is
distributed as $10,- (US) shareware. It can be used to search for
specific Hotline servers and for specific files on Hotline servers.
Hotfind will generate a list of Hotline servers by combining all
server lists from all known trackers. It automatically updates its own
internal list of Hotline trackers by periodically checking our Hotline
tracker database at www.tracker-tracker.com, so you will always have
access to the most up-to-date and complete server list without having
to search for Hotline trackers yourself ever again. HotFind's
powerful Boolean search allow you to search the description of Hotline
servers to find those Hotline servers that you are really interested
in. And with HotFind's file search it's possible to search for files
or folders located on Hotline servers without the need for a web based
file search engine. This not only makes the file search more reliable
it also guaranties your privacy.

What's New in HotFind 1.2
- Improved stability
- Hotline while now come to the front (again) when you double click a
Hotline
  server in the Hotfind.
- Hotfind can now index non-public servers by login on to a server as
member
(If the user knows the login information).
- Icons have been added to indicate a server is indexed partially, the
connection
was refused or that a password is required
- Contextual menus have been added
- Bookmarks from a user-specified folder (e.g. your Holine bookmark
folder) are
Automatically added to the "All servers list"
- Import option added for importing passwords and logins from ASCII
files
- Added an option in the file search to search all servers in the "all
servers list"
instead of those in the active server list.
- Added a save and open command for saving and later re-opening of
server lists

Right! 4.2

What it is: Word game for children and adults
Author: Ton Brand
License: shareware
Computer: PowerPC
Mac OS: 7.5 or later

Abstract:
Right! is a word game that resembles a popular game on Dutch television. It's
meant for both adults and children.
Purpose of playing Right! is to find the 5-letter words (in English) of which
Right! presents the first letter. You can either play alone or against an
opponent, on the same machine or via an internal network. There's also a
factor of luck that makes Right! even more attractive, which has to do with
'drawing balls' and achieving the word 'RIGHT' as column, row or diagonal.
Further, there are 'red balls' to change the course of the game.
New is the option to hide the desktop and choose a background color.
Right! 4.2 can only be used on PowerMacs (for 68K Macs there is a Right! 3.6
as HyperCard stack).

panel, the Finder and startup applications load faster.

Save time each time you startup your Mac!
Those seconds spent waiting while your Mac starts add up to a lot of

on the performance of your startup disk and the number of Extensions,
Control Panels and Startup Items in your System.

Version 2.5.2, released today, fixes a bug which caused versions 2.5 and
2.5.1 to sometimes crash at the end of startup. Minor other improvements
are also featured.

Startup Doubler runs on Mac OS 9.0 and previous versions (going back to

TitleFree is a MacOS application designed to create and use icons in the
Finder without any title (file name). Finder icons free of file names!
With it you can get rid of any icon name: under the trash, any hard disk
or cd-roms, or any other icon in the finder. And itØs easy to use!

USAGE:
Ñ First: With this new version, to show or hide any name under
any icon you just have to use the provided ÓTitle FreeÔ contextual menu.
Ñ Show icon name: Show the names under the selected icons in the finder
(this option will appear disappear on purpose).
Ñ Hide icon name: Hide the names under the selected icons in the finder
(this option will appear disappear on purpose).
Ñ Deactivate/Activate Title Free: To temporary activate or deactivate
any Title Free effect (any hidden name will then be visible).
Ñ Reset: To reset ÓTitle FreeÔ, this can not be undone.

N.B.: Title Free does not change anything in the file (not even itØs
name!).

Ñ Second: Title Free will also hide any name ending by an under score
Ó_Ô, such as ÓTmp_Ô, or Ómy folder_Ô. This is a supported trick to
quickly create clean alias panels in the finder.

Subject: [*] Udana

Udana -- Exclamations of Buddha

The Udana is a collection of short sutras, each culminating in a short
verse uttered by the Buddha. "Udana -- Exclamations of Buddha" randomly
generates one of those verses each time it is opened, making it a nice
addition to the Startup Items folder. Additionally, clicking on the
quotation will generate a new verse. The verses can be saved as text
files, and printed from the "File" menu.

"Udana -- Exclamations of Buddha" is made available for free, as a gift
of Dharma.

Subject: [*] Voice-controlled Finder 1.8

This package contains AppleScript scripts that I have
developed to enable voice-control of many Macintosh Finder functions.
These scripts extend and in some cases replace scripts provided with the
PlainTalk speech recognition software from Apple Computer. These scripts
use the basic, minimum AppleScript set-up in System 8.5.1. You will need
a PPC computer and System 8.5.1 (some scripts may run under earlier systems).

For more information on these AppleScript scripts and other software I have
developed, or for questions, comments, and feedback contact:

"Wheel of the Teachings" is a gentle adventure game, incorporating
Buddhist teachings. As you walk through a painted landscape, your goal
is to find and collect all of the hidden wheels. Each wheel represents
one spoke of Buddha's 8-Fold Path. For each 2 wheels you discover, you
will then be able to find one of the Four Noble Truths. Along the way,
you'll also find quotations from the sayings of Buddha, as well as
mantras and sutras.

"Wheel of the Teachings" is made available for free, as a gift of Dharma.

Subject: [*] YP Bielle-Manivelle 1.1

YP Bielle-Manivelle is the french version of YP Slider Crank.

YP Slider Crank simulates the motion of a piston activated by a slider
crank mechanism. The crank is in uniform rotational motion (constant
angular velocity), causing the piston to move with a variable acceleration.
Relative lengths of the crank arm and the connecting rod may be changed
easily. During the simulation, it is possible to display the following
vectors: acceleration, velocity and position, and the following graphs:
acceleration, velocity and position versus time.

New in this version:
To help understanding relative velocity, the animation can be viewed in 3
different reference frames. During the animation, the user can display a
vector diagram showing how the velocity of the crank and the velocity of
the connecting rod are combined together to give the velocity of the
piston. A new "theory" window explains how to find the velocity of the
piston.

Mark:
They work great for me on a G4 under OS 8.6 and on an accelerated 7600/G3
onder OS 8.6. Gotta love 'em!

Could someone explain to me (and perhaps others) in simple non techie
language
what these ADDs actually do and would the be of benefit to me as a non
techie?

Am interested in finding a good Envelope Program. I have used Easy

about three times losing the database. Prefer one that has the coded marks
and that can store the addresses.

Would appreciate a direct reply.
