Subject: [*] PubMedMakerII 3.5

What is PubMedMakerII
PubMedMakerII is a bibliographic software for Macintosh users who are
familiar with PubMed <http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/PubMed/>: a free
on-line MEDLINE. PubMedMakerII automatically transfers PubMed text data
to FileMakerProāB file. PubMedMakerII also makes Reference list with rich
text format (RTF), HTML format, or plain text. You can easily arrange it
to fit the journalāås format to which you are going to contribute.

What's new in this version (Version 3.5, Aug 26, 2000)
1. Big Input Page: Three layouts of Input Page are prepared using 12
point font. According to monitor's resolution, most suitable window
appears. The window expands to total height of screen in case of 1024
x768 dot monitor, ex. PowerBook G3.
2. Big List Page: If you use more than 800x600 dot monitor, a big List
Page with14 point font is available.
3. Improvement of check box and font button: Annoying field selection
frames of FileMakerPro do not appear when you use check boxes of record
selection, get paper check, smart window check, and font selection. By
just click font radio button, the Input Page changes immediately.
4. PubMed button: You can directly open PubMed Summary Page of the
literature from FileMakerPro file. You can read full text in a part of
pay journals without password when you enter the page through journal
link icon of PubMed Summary Page. Such journals include J Biol Chem,
Biochim Biophys Acta, J Exp Med, Blood, Int Immunol, and so on.
5. Link to on-line from List Page: Direct link function to on-line
journal, PubMed Summary Page, and PDF file is available from List Page.
6. Speak all records: Speak All Title and Speak All Abstract commands
are added.
7. Compatible with iCab: Add Text button can accept converted file of
query.fcgi by iCab.
8. Bug fix for FileMakerPro 3: Window zooms to proper size with
FileMakerPro 3.0. PDF button functions with FileMakerPro 3.0.
FileMakerPro 3.0 users can select iCab as a default browser to open URL.

9. Bug fix of conversion: Year extraction error is fixed when journal
includes "Pt 20" or "Pt 19".

Didn't you mean from Mac to PC? Or was it a mistake to go to the Mac?

Subject: Q: 7100 won't start

I have a 7100/66 that won't start. Pressing the power key on the keyboard or
the power button at the back right of the main box just results in a click -
the power light comes on on the keyboard and the indicator on the box gets
power but almost immediately power is shut of and the Mac won't go any
further - it won't even get to the start-up chime. The Mac was fine, it just
suddenly shut down last Friday and now it won't start. PRAM battery is still
showing 3.6v so should be fine - is about 2 years old. Before I rip it
apart, has anyone seen this before and was there a solution?

Roland Whitehead
