CuliDataBase 5.7.2 (68K)

What it is: Recipe management tool for food lovers
Author: Ton Brand
Company: Ton's Software
License: Shareware US$8
Computer: 68K Mac
MacOS: 7.0 or later
Abstract:
CuliDataBase is an application for managing culinary recipes, supporting
Apple Guide Help and QuickTimeĆ¼. There are PPC and 68K versions; with this
you have the 68K version.
A simple click with the mouse lets you put ingredients on a shopping list.
Recipes can be scaled up or down according to number of servings, while the
singular or plural form of the ingredients' names is taken care of as well,
so '1 bay leaf ' will become '2 bay leaves' or vice versa. This works in
English, French and Dutch.
To illustrate your recipes, you can import pictures of dishes.
Finally, you've got a list with culinary terms that you can extend yourself,
and an Internet menu that you can modify to go to your favorite sites.
An unregistered copy of CuliDataBase is fully functional, apart from the
export and print functions.
Version 5.7.2 fixes a bug that caused a startup problem in some cases.

Subject: [*] Edible Landscaping 4.64

Version 4.64 adds some minor features and removes minor bugs. Some plant
info and pictures have been updated. 1JUN01

Edible Landscaping is an encyclopedia of perennials that are worth growing
primarily for produce. Every such plant that can be grown in at least three
USDA hardiness zones (i.e., can withstand 15 F or below) is covered in the
database. It includes fruits, nuts, herbs, and even a few perennial
vegetables. Uncommon edibles such as the jujube and chayote are included,
as well as popular favorites like strawberries and walnuts. The majority of
plants have color photos attached, often illustrating different aspects
(e.g., in a landscape, and a closeup).

Edible Landscaping can be used in conjunction with a large archive of color
pictures. It expects the photos to be in a folder named "EL Pictures"; it
can also be mixed with the photos in one folder. If you have difficulties
viewing the photos, try increasing the RAM (memory) available to the
program. 2500K should be plenty and 2000K will probably work too. You
allocate memory with the "Get Info..." command in the Finder.

Edible Landscaping is as a standalone application made in Hypercard. It
does not require Hypercard, or Hypercard Player, as a separate application.
It will work on any Macintosh. It does require 2.5 MB of available RAM and
7 MB of diskspace.

Displaying the pictures may require Quicktime 2.5--I'm not sure
(Hypercard's built in commands take care of showing the pictures--it's not
something I programmed). Edible Landscaping was tested under MacOS 7.6.1
with Quicktime 3.0, and 8.1 & 9.04 with Quicktime 4.1.

Detailed instructions are available from within the Edible Landscaping
software.

Edible Landscaping costs $15.

Bon Apetit.

Do you use the calculator built into the Mac OS? Do you have an iBook or
Powerbook computer? If so, then you need nCalc. You may have noticed
that your mac notebook has a 10 key, key pad that you can turn on and
off with the Num Lock (F5) key. However, if you frequently use the
calculator at the same time you use other apps and you switch back and
forth between those apps and the calculator, turning Num Lock on and off
gets to be very tedious.

nCalc is a calculator that assumes that you will use the 10 key, key pad
on your notebook computer and doesn't require that Num Lock be turned
on. In fact, if Num Lock is on keyboard input won't work properly.

Requirements: Sys 7.6 or newer with Carbon Lib (not sure which version).
Runs on OS X. Should run on any mac, but is really only helpful to those
with notebook macs.

Enter a time, set a few time zones, and this stack will compute the correct
time in the set time zones. From base time to zone time and vice versa.
If you enter a date as well, the correct daylight saving time corrections
(summertime) are taken into account.
This version can show up to 12 timezones simultaneously.

This stack is a Macintosh application of the TZ UNIX timezone database, but
only for the current timezone information, not the historical information.
This stack is updated from TZdata2001c.

What is so special about this stack?
* You can find information about ALL known time zones of the world. The
database has 407 zone cards.
* ALL known information about daylight saving time (summertime) is
included.
* Calculations are made with a precision of one minute, even in the case of

which popped, but tenth of them. But her suffering was not finished.
In the following weeks, more blood vessels popped. Her face was
getting redder and redder (because of all that blood which spread in
her entire body). Finally she died heighteen monthes later enduring
terrible suffering. Thanks God to have helped her to go in a quieter
world.

Jean-Claude, remembering for ever.

Yes. That expert is called an "ophthalmologist." An optometrist is someone who sees which glasses you need, whereas an ophthalmologist is an actual eye doctor.
As a retinal detachment sufferer, I would urge you to have a retinal exam done as soon as possible. A computer discussion mailing list, unfortunately, is not the proper venue for something like this, since it probably has nothing to do with your computer.
